Duloxetine (Cymbalta)

What it’s used for

Duloxetine is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). It is commonly prescribed for:

• Major depressive disorder
• Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
• Nerve pain from diabetic neuropathy
• Pain and discomfort linked to fibromyalgia

How to take it

• Take by mouth with a glass of water, with or without food.
• Swallow capsules whole – do not crush, cut, or chew.
• Take only as prescribed. Do not stop suddenly unless advised by your doctor.
• Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you.

Missed dose
